Jug
An earthenware toby jug, modelled as the head and shoulders of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805), in uniform and wearing a hat; the pigtail forms the handle. The figure is glazed white, with a blue hat, orange sash and three gold medals, one inscribed 'NILE 1798'. Three stars are shown inaccurately on the coat. A motif of crossed swords decorates a band running around the base.
