Jug
Pratt ware jug moulded in relief with profiles representing Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) and Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy (1769-1839). The figure inscribed 'Admiral Nelson' is facing left to the left of the handle. Hardy is on the other side, facing right, inscribed 'Captain Hardy'. They have blue coats with ochre lace and red-brown order ribbons. The inscriptions are moulded on the neck and painted brown. In the background, the sea is painted with green and brown stripes, there is a ship on either side of each portrait, with blue and brown in dots on the sails. The jug is crudely moulded and painted, partly over the glaze.
