Arab (1874) and Lily (1874)
Scale 1:48. Plan shows the sheer lines, longitudinal half breadth and body plan for the Arab class composite gunvessels Arab (1874) and Lily (1874). The drawing bears the signature of Sir Nathaniel Barnaby [Director of Naval Construction 1870-1885] Admiral William Houston Stewart [Controller of the Navy 1872-1881] and George Goschen (First Lord of the Admiralty 1871-1874]. An Admiralty Board Minute Stamp dated 14 June 1873 is printed on the plan. An annotation in red ink states "Arab and Lily to be styled gunvesselsas per controllers order 10 April 1876".
