Bust
A white porcelain bust of Prince of Wales, later Edward VIII (1894-1972), in naval uniform, unglazed apart from the base which has a gilt rim. The socle is transfer-printed with a partly coloured inscription 'HRH THE PRINCE OF WALES BORN JUNE 23RD 1894'. The maker's mark is printed on the base with the painted pattern number '25'. The Arkinstall firm operated from the Trent Bridge Pottery, later the Arcadian Works, between 1904 and 1924.
