The Leather Bottle at Cobham, Kent
A 12x10 negative. The Leather Bottle public house at 54-56 The Street, Cobham, Kent. Souvenir postcards are displayed in the windows. Next door to the Leather Bottle is the Charles Dickens Restaurant and it has a stack of beer crates outside. The view is looking east along The Street with The Darnley Arms public house visible in the distance.
In about 1923 the rendered walls of the Leather Bottle were replaced with exposed timber beams in the Tudor style and her windows were reglazed with leaded lights. Later still, the roof was rebuilt and a large extension was added at the rear.
