Japanese commissioning pennant (1914-1945, after 1956)
Japanese commissioning pennant. The pennant is made of wool bunting, machine sewn with the design printed onto the surface of the fabric. Design: on a white field, an eight-rayed sun in red at the hoist edge. There is an inscription in Japanese stencilled at the hoist edge. Acquired from the Naval War Trophies Committee in 1947.
