        3 portions of a coloured manuscript map on vellum. Portion A contains a north polar inset and a Latin description of Nova Guinea and its decoration includes a female figure seated on an armadillo in the foreground of a battle scene. Portion B contains the scale cartouche and fish and ship decoration. Portion C forms the bottom right corner of the map, with borders and a latitude scale as well as the authorship statement, and its decoration includes a figure riding a crocodile.
