Bowl
A white, ironstone china cereal bowl, transfer-printed with a coloured picture of a circus dog wearing a ruff climbing a ladder propped against a giraffe's neck, the giraffe holding a bone. The bowl is inscribed 'ELDER DEMPSTER LINES CHILDREN'S SERVICE'. Elder Dempster Lines ran services to West Africa and the Canaries from 1881.
