Mortar from a model of a mortar and bed (circa 1827). The elevating mortar is detachable and is made from a solid turned block of wood, painted black. It is fitted with a tompion. The model has two impressed marks and a painted catalogue number denoting the Royal Military Academy, Museum of Artillery in the Rotunda.
