Two sheets. Engraved. Scale: ca. 1:30 000 (bar). Cartographic Note: North at 282 degrees. Variation shown 12 degrees 42' W. Scales in statute and nautical miles from 29B onwards. There is an error in the latitude numbering on the top edge, with 63 degrees instead of 43, uncorrected throughout the sequence. Additional Places: Nova Scotia. Contents Note: Sailing directions are included in the title.
Plate changes: Imprint changed to 1781. Other features: Printed on Bates paper, sheets not joined. The engraver has used the right margin of the left sheet for trialling burin lines and an anchor. Stitch holes at left edges. Border yellow, land tinted green, settlements coloured, brown coastal convention.
