Cessna C-37 Airmaster LN-FAK, serial number 375, (fl.1938) alongside the jetty at Merok, Geirangerfjord with Orion (1935) in the background
A view looking north-west along Geirangerfjord taken from the shore at Merok, Norway. On the right in the foreground is Cessna C-37 Airmaster floatplane LN-FAK, serial number 375, (fl.1938) alongside the jetty. This was used to take passengers from cruise ships on joyrides. In the background on the left is the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935), seen from off her port beam. A large motor yacht is also on the left. The mountains of the fjord dominate the background, with the Gjerdefossen waterfall to be seen off the stern of the Orion. There are patches of snow on the mountains.
