Siapo
Siapo (bark cloth) from Samoa, painted on the front: 'orooso Papauta' - in pen a girls’s name 'Mavin ?Fumipuy'. The cloth is hand painted (siapo mananu) in brown and black with star shapes representing star fish, circles and squares. The edges are cut into points. Formerly in the collections of the London Missionary Society.
