Medal commemorating Dr David Livingstone's centenary

Bronze medal depicting David Livingstone (1813-1873), in box of issue. It was designed by Allan Wyon and issued by The London Missionary Society. The obverse: with a relief bust of David Livingstone looking three quarters to the right with the legend: 'DAVID . LIVINGSTONE . BORN . BLANTYRE .1813 . DIED . ILALA . 1873'. Reverse: with a relief of St Paul preaching to the gentiles (in Greece) with the legend: 'Into all the world' in Greek lettering beneath. Formerly in the collections of the London Missionary Society.
