Writing compendium
An earthenware writing compendium in the shape of a sailor standing in front of two brown cargo bales stacked one on top of the other with an open top forming a pen tray. A blue barrel to his right and a yellow coil of rope on his left form holders for ink bottles. The sailor has white trousers, a blue jacket, pink neckerchief and yellow hat. His hands are in his pockets. The whole is on a raised oval base, banded blue.
