A group photograph, including German prisoners, on board HMS Inflexible (1907)

A group photograph taken from the forecastle of the battlecruiser HMS Inflexible (1907) looking at towards A Turret and the bridge. A Turret has been trained to port. A large group of sailors in dirty clothes and hats are standing in front of the turret, with another group standing on the roof of A Turret.

The group is believed to be German prisoners, although they all seem to be wearing old dirty clothes and caps, usually worn when the ship is being coaled. If they are German prisoners then they will have been taken at the Battle of the Falkland Islands on 8 December 1914.
