A distant view of part of the Destroyer Flotilla, Second Division, under way on the North Sea taken from the light cruiser HMS Aurora (1913). In the middle-distance on the left is a destroyer built by Yarrow, either HMS Manly, Minas or Miranda. Ahead of her is one of two Thornycroft-built destroyers, either HMS Mastiff or Meteor. Note that the destroyers are still in their black livery.
