Patch box
Oval patch box with a mirror inside the lid, commemorating Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805). The box is decorated in yellow enamel overall with a monochrome transfer on the lid, showing a seated Bitannia, holding a scroll, a lion at her feet. There is an eye with a nimbus above her head. Inscribed: 'Britannia rules the Waves.' The interior is white.
