Exercise book containing a journal kept by William McMorran on the British India Steam Navigation Co Ltd ship DUNERA (1937) during an educational cruise from Dundee to locations in Norway including Narvik, Nordkapp, Hammerfest, Olden and Bergen, 15 July to 28 July 1967. This pupil aged 14 was from Sondes Place School at Dorking and won the Chief Officer's prize for the best kept log book. It includes details from the navigational log, graphs showing sea and air temperature, printed leaflets and sketches. There is also a chart showing readings of specific gravity taken during a cruise down Nordfjord.
