Lock of Nelson's hair
Lock of Nelson's hair tied with a blue ribbon. Mounted in a glazed gilt-framed locket together with a small piece of paper signed 'Nelson'. This is believed to be from a letter written to his wife after losing his arm at Santa Cruz, Teneriffe, in 1797. The hair is said to be part of Nelson's pigtail.
