A lock of brown hair in a glazed wooden frame carved with a rope twist pattern. Mounted on a card inscribed: 'LOCK FROM LORD NELSON'S HAIR given by his adopted daughter HORATIA to her husband the Revd. Philip Ward. Mr Nelson Ward. Presented to THE NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM by COMMANDER LEANDER McCORMICK-GOODHART R.N.V.R. 12th May 1937.'
