A slightly distant port broadside view of the Monitor HMS General Craufurd (1915) underway in the North Sea. Her twin 12-inch gun is prominently placed forward of the tripod mast and had come from the old battleship HMS Magnificent (1894). The wash from the light cruiser HMS Aurora (1913) is in the foreground.
