H.M.S. 'Gladiator' staff truck
Pole truck from HMS 'Gladiator' 1896. It has a flat top, a square hole in the centre and three sheaves. A metal band is placed round the outside and the surface is painted gold. HMS 'Gladiator' was sunk in collision with SS 'St Paul' off Yarmouth, Isle of Wight in 1908. She was raised and sold in August 1909.
