Obverse: Admiral Vernon full length, face front in a cocked hat, sword in right, baton in left hand, standing on a platform; ship (left), gun (right). Legend: 'THE . BRITISH . GLORY . REVIV . D . BY . ADMIRAL . VERNON .' Reverse: The devil leading Sir Robert Walpole by a rope round the neck towards the open mouth of an infernal beast. Legend: 'MAKE : ROOM : FOR : SIR : ROBERT.' Exergue: 'NO : EXCISE.'
