Two casts, obverse and reverse, of a commemorative medal. Obverse: Hercules, seated on a rock, his club in his right hand (right), watching a distant naval battle. Legend: 'NE HERCULES ADVERSUS DUOS.' (Not even Hercules against two.) Reverse: Two fleets in action, wreckage in the foreground. Legend: 'BRITANNA ET BELGICA VIRTUS.' (The valour of the British and the Dutch.) Exergue: 'D . XIX . XXIX . MAJI MDCXCII.' (19-29 May 1692)
