INCENSA CAPTA . DESTRUCTA . CLASSE . FOEDISSIMUM AD . LITTORA . MONUMENTUM PSEUDO NEPTVNI . GALLICI * LUDOVICI . XIIII *' Between laurel branches 'M . S . MDCXCII'. (The French having been driven from the British sea, their fleet burnt, taken or destroyed, this most disgraceful monument upon the coast of the false French Neptune, Louis XIV, is dedicated to his memory, 1692).
