Scale:Unknown. A contemporary half block model of the Swedish Bermuda sloop-rigged yacht Carmela (1924). The hull is constructed of several horizontal layers of wood in bread and butter fashion with a thin black section denoting the waterline with a slightly darker wood above for the topsides. The hull shape has a long curving sheerline with a curved and narrow bow running aft at an angle towards a deep keel where it meets the angled sternpost flitted with a half elliptical-shaped rudder. The stern finishes with a long overhanging counter which tapers towards a slender and small transom. The whole model is mounted on a wooden rectangular backboard which is painted black on which is a plaque inscribed "6 metre yacht designed by G Estlander, Stockholm. Length overall 11300 met. Length waterline 7000 met. Beam 1930 met. Draft 1695 met." CA: BAC.
