Letters from Albert Murray after his desertion at Sydney, circa 1881-1885.
Letters received by Mrs Emma Murray from her son, following his desertion from the wooden screw corvette HMS WOLVERINE (1863) at Sydney, dated from 3 June 1881 onwards. They discuss his joining a theatrical company, attempts to make a fortune through gold mining, and new life at Rushworth, Victoria.
