Froude propeller (circa 1874)
Scale: 1:16. Model depicting a two bladed left handed propeller designed by Froude and tested in February 1874. It is mounted on a shaft on an aluminium support and displayed in a glass and wooden case with five other propeller models: see SLR2388, SLR2389, SLR2390, SLR2391 and SLR2392. The display shows a comparison between Froude's propellers circa 1874 and various 20th century designs.
