Scale: 1:15. Model depicting a propeller designed for the tug HMS Brigand (1937) and tested in conjunction with the experiments for towing the Conundrum in Operation Pluto during the Second World War. It is a four bladed right hand propeller, mounted on a shaft on an aluminium support and displayed in a glass and wooden case with five other propeller models: see SLR2387, SLR2388, SLR2390, SLR2391 and SLR 2392. The display shows a comparison between Froude's propellers circa 1874 and various 20th century designs.
