Ship's biscuit

An hexagonal ship's biscuit, painted with a picture of a warship within a lifebelt inscribed 'H.M.S. LANCASTER'. The surface is varnished and there are two suspension holes at the top. The donor's mother brought it back from Malta in 1906. 'Lancaster' was an armoured cruiser of 9800 tons, built by Armstrongs in 1902 and sold in 1920.
