Passenger vessel; Burmese

Scale: Unknown. A full hull model of a Burmese passenger boat (circa 1890) made entirely in wood. The hull is hollowed out with the addition of deep wash strakes. The projecting bow is arrow-shaped and pointed while the high sweeping stern is flat-faced and chisel-shaped terminating in a carved rectangular panel. There is elaborate decorative carving along the forward bulkhead and around the high steering stern position. Fittings include a mast tabernacle forward, two thwarts, enclosed aft section and paddle rigged on the port stern quarter.
