Waistcoat

Leather waistcoat lined with plain woven, grey wool fabric with a knap. It was worn by Francis R.H. Drake, meteorologist on Scott's Antarctic Expedition, 1910. The waistcoat is marked: 'J W' with a broad arrow between the letters, inside the neck. Two buttons are missing out of the original five. The letters 'S M' with a broad arrow are marked on the exterior under the left armhole.
