Fixed compass dial
Bowl- Turned bone, circular box with screw on cap and middle section. Brass verge is graduated for sundial and has a folding brass gnomon. The four cardinal points are painted on the base of the bowl.
Needle- Elongated diamond set close to base of bowl.
Pivot- Steel spike set in base of bowl.
