A massive German alidade of grey painted alloy? for a Plath spherical compass made to mount on a central spigot. Fitted with a telescopic sight, a reversible reflector, black glass and mirror, and built-in shades. Open sights are fitted on top.
In the same box is a grey painted alloy? domed hood, fitted with sliding shutters, for fitting on top of compass bowl and which could be used in conjunction with this alidade.

In a wooden box 12.5" x 12.5" x 10.25" (31.8 cm x 31.8 cm x 26.0 cm)
