Altar cross
An altar cross made from a French bullet and cartridge case, with newspaper cutting about the cross (Daily Mirror, 12 December 1916). It was used by chaplain serving with the Royal Naval Division on the Western Front and was made by a French soldier from a French bullet. This type of material is known as 'trench art'.
