Chigwell (1883)
A 12x10 negative. A starboard very near broadside view of the tanker Chigwell (1883) at moorings fore and aft on the River Thames. The owner's house flag of a running fox on a white ground is painted on the funnel. It is low tide. The location is not known but the river bank in the background is heavily wooded with an industrial builidng on the right and terraces of houses on the left. Also on the river bank, seen just abaft the ratlines of the mainmast of the Chigwell (18830 is a large Notice which is unfortunately not quite legible.
