Coptic (1881)
A half plate negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the passenger/cargo liner Coptic (1881) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has three yards on her foremast and is flying the blue peter and a pilot flag. Her funnel has been raised and awnings are rigged amidships. The tug Undaunted (1884) is alongside. Tilbury is in the background. This negative is a Gould copy of Gould negative number G1197.
