Orient (1879)
        
        A half plate negative.  A port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Orient (1879) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames.  She has short funnels and has been refitted with a topgallant forecastle and a turtleback poop.   There are no yards on her masts.  Tilbury is in the background.   A copy of a Gould photographic print not in the collection.  The same image as G1403.
