Astronomy courses at the Royal Observatory

Lift closure

We're making improvements. From 7 to 28 May there will be no lift access to Flamsteed House or the Time and Longitude gallery. The Meridian Line and Gallery will still be accessible via wheelchair. Find out more about accessibility at Royal Museums Greenwich

We offer a range of astronomy courses tailored to the needs of individuals with differing levels of knowledge, from short introductory courses to one year courses for those keen to pursue their studies in more detail to two year courses for budding astrophysicists.

Our students get to study in a unique environment supported by a range of equally unique resources, including expert tutors, a state of the art digital planetarium and the country’s largest lensed telescope.
