For 2021-22 the Saturday Art Club was led by artist Gal LeshemThis year the group created individual responses to objects in the museum led by their own exploration, which responded to their own emotions and material and formal curiosities. Punctuated by a colour mixing masterclass and a museum public exhibition, the group were able to explore professional routes into working as an artist.

Textiles became a culminating point to working with materials that have been significant in the museum collection, with a specific focus on the movement of people and objects, identity and place. This outcome will be showcased later this year in the National Saturday Club Summer Show at Somerset House.
