What you can choose from on your visit 

We offer three types of very flexible visit days: a Discovery Day, a Space Spectacular Day and a Study Day (secondary only).  

Depending on the key stage and what you choose your visit can be made of: a planetarium show, an interactive workshop or science theatre show, a masterclass, a self-facilitated visit to the Weller Astronomy Galleries and a time-slot in the lunch room.

The Moon education programming

During the 2019/20 academic year, we will have a schools programme relating to the Moon in addition to our normal offer. These sessions will be aimed at KS2 and will run from September to December 2019 alongside The Moon Exhibition at the National Maritime Museum.

Schools outreach programme

We continue to offer outreach visits for KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and Post-16 audiences in the academic year of 2019-20, releasing a small number of bookable outreach slots throughout the year. So if you are interested please contact us on rogschools@rmg.co.uk for more details.

We have a huge selection of resources to choose from that can be used before or after your visit.  They include: classroom activities, videos, blogs, podcasts and even the chance to video chat with an astronomer.
