Moon Programme, Space Spectacular and Study Days

The Royal Observatory Greenwich's Space Spectacular weeks run three times a year. They include astronomer-led demo-filled science theatre shows, planetarium shows and visits to our Time & Astronomy gallery.

Study Days are exclusively for secondary groups. These sessions sell out quickly so you will need to book fast!

Our Moon programme is designed for KS2 groups and will only run between September and December 2019.

The 2019/20 school sessions are now open for booking.

Space Spectacular dates 2019/20

Space Spectacular weeks run three times a year to coincide with International Space Week (Autumn 2019), National Science Week (Spring 2020) and just before the end of teh academic year (Summer 2020).  For more details on each session of a Space Spectacular Day see Our Education Programme Explained. The Study Day offer is exclusively for secondary groups with specific sessions for KS3, KS4 and Post-16 students and runs on selected Thursdays and Fridays throughout the school term.

The theme of a Study Day is different on Thursdays and Fridays as shown in the tables below but the structure is always the same as a Discovery Day with the addition of a master class (see below for Our Education Programme Explained). Please note that Study Days are very popular so to make sure you book in advance to get the date you would like.
