In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Extract of a letter from Admiral Aylmer in which he refers to dwindling supplies of meat. He informs that he has been in touch with Consul Burrows at Leghorn who he understands has been tasked with procuring supplies of pork and beef to await his arrival though he has asked Burrows to delay temporarily in case the Victualing Board countermands his Order. He has held off ordering other specie having been warned of the high cost. He hopes to obtain better prices at other ports as he proceeds.
