Letters Enclosed in the Despatches from Berlin to London.
Volume 4: Letters Enclosed in the Despatches from Berlin to London. The majority of these are written in French. An example letter is from J. Saville Macnamara at Embden, Holland, to Lord Carysfort, 1 August 1800, asking that he may be appointed as Agent or Vice Consul so that he can prevent 'the ingress of improper persons in England through this place ... I should require all passports for England to be countersigned by me'. Another example is an enclosure entitled 'Plan of Indemnity for the House of Orange'.
