Two discharge documents relating to Royal Marine soldiers:
(1) Certificate of service of Private Henry Deane, serving on HMS LONDON (1840) on the Bosphorus station, invalided to hospital with chronic dysentery on 18 April 1855.
(2) Continuous service certificate of Private John Smith, discharged from the Royal Marines battalion on HMS PRINCESS CHARLOTTE (1825) on 2 May 1861, signed by Lieutenant-Colonel J.A. Gascoigne.
