Extract from the log of the composite barque FUSI YAMA (1865), covering the period 10 October 1867 to 18 October 1867, during which the abandoned barque MAGGIE LESLIE of Newcastle was recovered in the Gasper Straits.
Newspaper cuttings, 1851-1870, including issues of 'The St Helena Spectator' and 'Supplement to the St. Helena Guardian' from December 1867, with articles on the saving of the MAGGIE LESLIE; and ‘The Singapore Daily Times’ from July 1868, with an article on Thomson as master of the composite clipper OMBA (1868).
Also an indenture for the apprenticeship of Henry Thomson of Walworth, bound to Ewen Stabb, made on 2 September 1845.
