Service of Commemoration of Battle of the Atlantic in Liverpool Cathedral 10 May 1970; Several Certificates relating to his service (in envelope) circa 1938; Blue file containing testimonials pre-1914; 2 Files and 1 envelope. File 1 is titled "A collection of personal experiences by members of the Cape Horners Associaion". The file contains a number of copies of the Cape Horner journal (Vol. 2, No. 2, Summer 1968; Vol. 1, No. 2, Summer 1965; Vol. 1; No. 6, Summer 1967; Vo. 2, No. 4, Summer 1969; Vol.2, No. 5, Winter 1969/70; Volume 3, No. 1, Winter 1970/71). File 2 contains a number of smaller folders, titled as follows: "Captain HA Moore OBE RD RNR Testimonials - Merchant Navy (Pre-1914)"; "Captain HA Moore OBE RD RNR Service in Royal Naval Reserve"; "Captain HA Moore OBE RD RNR "Flimsies" - Royal Naval Reserve"; "Captain HA Moore OBE RD RNR Service at Sea - Post 1940"; "Captain HA Moore OBE RD RNR Prints/Photographs ETC" - these folders contain a variety of letters, certificates and other materials. The envelope - titled "Certificate of Competency", contains a certificate certifying HA Moore as a Master Mariner, as well as another commemorative certificate "In Honour of Duty Nobly Done..." by HA Moore "... in the service of the Canadian Pacific Railway... during the Great War". Another certificate is an appointment of Moore to the position of Lietenant in the Royal Naval Reserve, dated 1914. Finally, the envelope also contains letter from one of Moore's contemporaries in the Navy, a pamphlet from a commemoraion of the Battle of the Atlantic, held by Liverpool Cathedral, and short memorandum titled "A memory of Bygone days". The package not contained within the box (marked U312) contains a scrapbook with cuttings pertaining to a number of ships and squadrons upon which Moore served.
