Uncatalogued: Transcript of ten letters from Robert Turnbull to his brother James, 1802-1820.

Contents of the letters concern Robert's time on board a ship transporting prisoners, in and around the North Sea, with particular mention made of the Norwegian coasts around Jutland, and Gothenburg. Time spent at Chatham during repairs to the ship. Travelling from St Helena to England (1809). Personal tragedies, including the loss of his sister and aunt. Sending a lock ("loke") of his hair to his brother hames, after the latter was scolded by their mother for losing the previous loke. His time in charge of his own ship upon the Red Sea, including a description of the inhabitants on the final page.
