Certificates and appointments of John Harrison:
(1) Vellum certificate providing details of Harrison's service in the Royal Navy from 1850 to 1859. A note at the bottom states that he was present at the relief and capture of Lucknow in 1857-1858.
(2) Vellum certificate recording Harrison's claim for the wages and effects of Edward Harrison, a marine who died on board HMS TRAFALGAR (1841) on 22 November 1854, received by the department of the Accountant General of the Navy, dated 15 October 1856.
(3) Application to the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, for Harrison to be transferred from the Victualling Department to the Transport Department, signed by Captain William R. Mends. With a testimonial including reference to Harrison serving under his command on HMS AGAMEMNON (1852) in the Black Sea during the Crimean War.
