Postcards and photographs
71 postcards, 39 small photographs, one empty envelope, Christmas cards for 1915 and 1916, and a newspaper clipping with section on the Siege of Antwerp mentioning Ernest Edwin Russell. Of the postcards containing messages most were sent to Russell's mother or to his fiancée Daisy who he would marry in Groningen in 1916. The postcards mostly feature images of Groningen and the surrounding region as well as scenes of windmills and people in traditional Dutch clothing. The photograph postcards and loose photographs feature images of life in the camp including images of the men in costume as the 'Timbertown Follies', while others show Russell or his wife on their wedding day and during their time together in Groningen.
